“Jesus was not a powerless victim.

He embraced death to accomplish our redemption & rose from the dead in power & majesty!

What does it mean to be passionate?
Webster’s Dictionary defines passion as “extreme, compelling emotion or intense emotional drive.”

The passion of Christ originated in love, was directed by the purpose of God & was lived in dependence on the presence of God.

Jesus declared that every word that he said was given to him by the Father who commanded him what to say & how to say it (John 12:49).

In order for this to happen, Jesus lived every moment in the presence of the Father.
Every thought, word & action of Jesus was given to him by the Father (John 14:31).

The crowds refused to see Jesus as he truly was, placing their personal desires on him instead.

Who is Jesus for you? Is he someone whom you want to satisfy your selfish wants & goals, or is he Lord and Master who gave up his life to save you from your sins?”

Luke 24:5 (NLT)
“5 The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?

Rev 1:18 (MSG)
“I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”
