PRAYER AND WORSHIP NIGHT
(No class this Thursday evening)
Meeting at: Champlin Ice Forum
Worship is the natural outflow of love & honor given to the one who is being loved. Join us as we corporately come together to worship.
There is so much power and authority through our praise & worship. God inhabits the praises of his people (Ps 22:3)
We have the Power of His Presence
We Proclaim His Authority
We Participate in the Praise of His Glory
Judges 7:20
20 And the three companies blew the trumpets and shattered the pitchers, holding the torches in their left hands, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow [leaving no chance to use swords], and they cried, The sword for the Lord and Gideon!
Break – in the Hebrew = means Shabauch
It does not just mean to shatter – it means to burst.
2 Cor 4:6-7
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
These men didn’t take those earthen vessels that the torch was inside & break it against a tree or rock. They put the skill that they had developed on those trumpets & they sandwiched it with the high praises of God in their mouth – that perfected praise — that shattered the vessels.
When that fire — that light — of the Holy Spirit – who is in us – when the Holy Spirit comes out of us in praise & worship – it will burst our flesh. Our earthen vessel will be shattered & the glory of God will shine forth.
Zech. 4:6 Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of Hosts.
